Accessibility
Inclusion is at the heart of Carnaval Del Pueblo - from cultural representation to physical
access, we are committed to ensuring everyone can enjoy the festival experience. Entry
is free, and we work closely with artists, staff, and volunteers to make the event
welcoming and accessible to all.
Carnaval Del Pueblo takes place at Burgess Park, a largely level site with a gentle
incline. Please note that in poor weather conditions, the ground may become muddy
and water-soaked, as there is no hard flooring. Some areas may be uneven, so we
recommend suitable footwear and planning for mobility needs.
Assistance Dogs are welcome across the entire site. There will also be seating available
throughout the festival area. Ear plugs will be available by each stage if needed.
Parking
Blue Badge holders may park in on-street pay & display bays or council-owned car
parks free of charge, in line with Blue Badge terms of use. Nearest accessible parking
bays are located at:
● Albany Road (with designated bays) - 10ft / 1 minute away
● Kinglake Street - 0,2 miles / 4 minutes away
● Madron Street - 0,2 miles / 5 minutes away
● Surrey Square - 0,3 miles / 7 minutes away
Toilets
There will be easy-access unisex disabled toilets across the festival site. These toilets
are secured with Radar locks (National Key System). If you do not have a Radar key,
access can be arranged via the Medical Tent.
Entry & Viewing
Wide Entry Lanes will be available to ensure smoother access for all.
At the Main Stage, wheelchair users and others with access needs can view
performances from side-of-stage positions within the pit. Security staff will manage
access to this space with sensitivity and discretion.
